It was just two days ago Akshay Kumar shared the first look of his upcoming horror-comedy movie Laxmmi Bomb, which is the Hindi remake of Tamil film, Kanchana. And just a day after the poster was released, the director of the film Raghava Lawrence took to Twitter to make a shocking announcement about stepping down as the director from the film. Raghava shared a long post revealing that he felt disappointed and disrespected as the film’s poster was released without his approval and knowledge. Also, he also revealed that there are multiple reasons why he decided to exit from the project.
He writes, ‘Dear Friends and Fans…! In this world, more than money and fame, self-respect is the most important attribute to a person’s character. So I have decided to step out of the project, #Laxmmibomb Hindi remake of Kanchana @akshaykumar @RowdyGabbar @Advani_Kiara’.

Seems like now the filmmakers will have to find a new director. Produced by A Cape Of Good Films, Laxmmi Bomb will feature Kiara Advani opposite Akshay Kumar in the lead role. The actor shared the first poster of the film on his Instagram account captioning, ‘Bringing you one bomb of a story, #LaxmmiBomb starring @kiaraaliaadvani & yours truly! Bursting in cinemas on 5th June 2020. Fox Star Studios Presents A Cape of Good Films Production in association with Shabinaa Entertainment & Tusshar Entertainment House’.
The film is slated to hit the cinemas on June 5, 2020.
