A Ghaziabad-based mountaineer, Sagar Kasana, scaled Mount Everest and unfurled the Indian flag at the summit on 22 May. Now, he is one of the pioneers for Fit India and recently met Kiren Rijiju.
Earlier, Sagar had scaled mountains in Leh, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Mount Alburse in Europe, Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and Russia.
For Fit India, Kiren Rijiju, the Minister of State (Independent Charge) Youth Affairs and Sports, met Sagar Kasana. Sharing about the meeting, the mountaineer wrote on his instagram, “Thank you soo much @kiren.rijiju sir for giving me so much love and great honour, i really feel proud to meet with you. #kirenrijiju #sagarkasana #sports #sportsministry #indiansports #mountaineering #mountaineer #honour #respect #love #khalo #india #bharat #fitindia #fitindiamovement @fitindiamovement_official”.
Even Kiren Rijiju tweeted about his meeting with the international mountaineer.
