Dadasaheb Phalke Award South was recently held in the N Convention Centre in Hyderabad. The whole South Indian Film Industry participated in the award ceremony, adding glitz and glamour to the festival.
While Mahesh Babu has been making it to the news for his upcoming movies, his previous movie ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ brought him the honour of ‘Best Actor’ in the male category during the prestigious award ceremony. In the movie, Mahesh was seen playing the role of a politician who tries to reform society.
As the actor is busy in his shooting, wifey Naramata Shirodkar received the award on his behalf.
In the first edition of Dadasaheb Phalke Award South, the Tollywood star Anushka Shetty bagged the ‘Best Actor’ in the female category for her brilliant performance in ‘Bhaagamathie’ movie.
Along with them, actor Yash for ‘KGF Chapter 1’ and Keerthy Suresh for ‘Mahanati’ received ‘Outstanding Performances of the year’ award.
