In this action plan, the Maharashtra government has signed 12 major memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with foreign and Indian companies, worth Rs 16,100 crore. This will provide the investors all forms of assistance for setting up facilities without any hurdles.
Also, two key bilateral investment agreements, World Association of Investment Promotion Agencies and US India Partnership Forum, were signed during the video conferencing. This partnership will help the state to set up dedicated country desks for closer handholding of new potential investments.
Some of the signed MoUs include, the Great Wall Motors Company, RackBank from Singapore, PMI Electro Mobility Solutions, Assetz, Ascendas and ExxonMobil from USA, China, South Korea, and Singapore. Along with it, the Indian companies are United Phosphorus, Isambe Logistics, Varun Beverages and Hiranandani Group.
The Maharashtra government has offered plug and play infrastructure, a land bank of over 40 thousand acres, flexible rent, cost mechanisms and automatic licences in 48 hours through Mahaparvana and labour bureau to fulfil the need of workers.
On the other hand, Delhi’s Health Minister Satyendar Jain was admitted to a city hospital last night after complaining of breathing trouble and high fever. He was tested this morning for coronavirus at Rajiv Gandhi Super Specialty Hospital, where he’s being treated and results are awaited. He tweeted about the same:
Due to high grade fever and a sudden drop of my oxygen levels last night I have been admitted to RGSSH. Will keep everyone updated
