While the world is going through a climate crisis and the future looks doomed, it’s high time that we take the responsibility to make the earth a better place for the upcoming generation.
And since fashion Industries are one of the largest pollutants and are the biggest influencers across the globe, Celebs are conveying this message through their styling art.
Recently, Katy Perry beautifully embraced the upcycled attires while posing for the January issue of Vogue India that is all about ‘It’s Time To Fashion The Future’.
Have a look:
1. Colour Me Crazy:
Donning a multicoloured silk top and a pink scallop-worked skirt from Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, the pop sensation, Katy Perry looked stunning in her upcycled clothes. Posing in front of a falooda stall and matching with the background, Perry donned a multicoloured headpiece with dramatic eye makeup and the popping colours instantly lifts up our mood.
2. Under The Spotlight:
Posing under a grand chandelier in a royal setting, Katy looked like a Greek goddess in her all-white regenerated body wrap dress from Marine Serre. Katy’s white look was accentuated with green stone-studded jewellery pieces and pink flower bejewelled headpiece.
3. Taking The Centre Stage:
Clad in another creation from the designer duo Abu-Sandeep, Katy Perry adorned prints that are made in house from a printer that uses less water and gives minimal waste. With a white bow and dramatic puffed full sleeves, the blue floral-printed dress with frills in the bottom looks extraordinary, highlighting her curves. With an open puffed hairdo, Katy wore a headband made from upcycled scraps.
4. Bon Appetit:
Wearing a dress crafted from the leftover fabrics of the previous collection of Manish Malhotra, Katy Perry recreated her album ‘Bon Appetit’ in a picture. With a crown made from discarded wires and gem pieces, Katy looked like a true queen while posing among a bunch of kids dressed as food items. Highlighting the food shortage the globe will face in the near future, Katy’s look is definitely conveying a message boldly.
5. A Riot Of Colour:
Just like a happy child, Katy Perry danced among a bunch of female drummers in her rainbow-hued fringe gown, made up of tubes of leftover vintage printed silk. Keeping her headgear game on the top, ‘Roar’ singer went for a pink-hued makeup, wavy hair and a bright smile.
