September 2025 – Having firmly established itself as a highlight of Delhi’s cultural calendar for the past few years, Jazz Weekender returns to the Capital for its fourth edition from October 11-12, 2025 at the iconic 1AQ in Mehrauli, New Delhi.
The magnificent banyan tree provides a surreal and sprawling stage for artists inspired by jazz, and the grassy lawns welcome a community of curious listeners and aficionados for a cross-cultural celebration of the arts. More than just a festival, Jazz Weekender is an intimate, community-driven celebration of jazz music and the culture surrounding it.
This year’s Jazz Weekender hosts adventurous and expressive artists from India and around the world, but more importantly, offers an experience that large-format festivals can’t promise – picnics on the grass and craft cocktails with a view of Qutub Minar at sunset, alongside a curatorial approach to not just music but also independent, homegrown brands across food and lifestyle.
Lineup for Jazz Weekender 2025
Artists invited to play this year are as diverse as the sounds of contemporary jazz. Attendees will be treated to a smorgasbord of genres from jazz, neo-soul, R&B, hip-hop, funk, groove, Latin-jazz, electronica and global sounds.
Acclaimed Australian singer-songwriter and 30/70 frontwoman Allysha Joy will team up with an all-Indian band to create a soul, R&B and jazz experience while jazz hybrid pioneer Mark de Clive-Lowe will present his Live Remix set fusing jazz improvisation with broken beat and global rhythms. Berlin-based Caribbean-American award-winning artist Sera Kalo travels to India with her band to perform genre-bending songs characterised by melodic avant-soul melodies that merge with a sultry electroacoustic atmosphere and London’s rising four-piece group oreglo mix drill, grime, reggae, and jazz with fresh urban energy.
Indian artists on the lineup are just as exciting with Ahmedabad’s electrifying rapper Dhanji bringing together a 13-piece band for a special jazz-funk collaboration; Bangalore’s high-energy ensemble Derek & The Cats returns with new material that blurs the line between the stage and dancefloor; highly-rated hip-hop and R&B artist Meba Ofilia makes her Jazz Weekender debut alongside prolific duo RANJ x Clifr while Sambucáda, a Goa-based quintet brings rhythms of Brazilian carnival layered with jazz harmonies. Rounding up the lineup is French quartet Marthe that blend Greek and Middle Eastern melodies with jazz, rock, and jungle influences.
But it’s not just music that the team behind Jazz Weekender wants people to focus on. The sun-dappled, manicured lawns of 1AQ offer Delhiites the rare chance to enjoy a picnic under the stars soundtracked by the sounds of jazz. The terrace at 1AQ with its view of the Qutub Minar is yet another highlight of the weekend, and this year Delhi restaurant Mission Bay will bring a slice of San Francisco to the festival by way of handcrafted cocktails. For those whose favourite libation is sans alcohol, craft coffee and kombucha will not disappoint, as won’t the gastronomic delights by some of Delhi’s most popular eateries.
