It was good to see the 20 times Grand Slam Champion Roger Federer in the Tennis court after a hiatus of 14 long months.
The former world number one and currently ranked at number six, Federer entered the ATP Tour this year with Qatar Open post going through the knee surgery recovery phase and though played a good game but was far from his quality smash. After losing in the Quarter finals of the tournament, the Swiss player announced his withdrawal from the upcoming Dubai Open, where the Tennis stalwart has received huge career success.
In a social media post, Roger wrote, “It’s been great to be back on the @atptour , loved every minute playing in Doha once again. 🙌🏼
A big thank you to the best and loyal team that helped me get here. 🙏🏼
I’ve decided it’s best to go back to training and as a result, I’ve decided to withdraw from Dubai next week. 🏋🏽” and received best wishes from his fans and followers ahead of going for the rigorous training.
