1904, Louis Cartier granted the wish of the famous Brazilian aviator Alberto Santos Dumont: to be able to tell time while flying. The birth of one of the first ever wristwatches sealed the bonds of friendship between these two pioneers. The rounded angles of the dial, the seamless curve of the horns, and the exposed screws made for an iconic watch that would inspire countless reinterpretations.

PORTUGIESER CHRONOGRAPH – The Portugieser Chronograph is one of IWC Schaffhausen’s most iconic models. With its compact diameter of 41 millimetres, it fits almost any wrist. However, the thin bezel gives one the impression of wearing a significantly larger watch. The clear, functional dial boasts applied Arabic numerals and slender Feuille hands. Printed with a quarter-second scale, the characteristic rehaut not only allows precise reading of the stop time but also reminds us of the Portugieser’s origins as a nautical precision instrument for the wrist. This model features an 18 carat 5N gold case, a slate-coloured dial, as well as golden hands and appliques; it is fitted with a black leather strap. Inside the sporty-elegant chronograph, the IWC-manufactured 69355 calibre is at work. The robust and precise chronograph movement in classic column-wheel design is visible through a sapphire-glass case back.
At the beginning of the 1930s, Reverso was born of a challenge, that of designing a model that could withstand the polo matches of the British Army officers in India. Its dial smoothly concealed by reversing the case, to reveal a back that fully protects the face from possible mallet strokes. It’s worth thinking about… Timeless in its face surrounded by its three emblematic gadroons, the Reverso has been enchanting both men and women with an eye for beauty since its creation. Often androgynous, it knows how to show off its femininity in jeweled models or affirm its masculinity by pronounced complexities and a marked Art Deco aesthetic.

In keeping with the aesthetic codes of the first edition of 1931, the Reverso Tribute Small Seconds is enriched by a new model in pink gold with an ultra-thin 7.56 mm case. On this model, the colour of its sunray dial is fascinating. A deep burgundy, resulting from a process that consists of applying successive layers of lacquer while respecting different drying times. The result is astounding on the eye. The color changes under the play of light and takes on particular reflections, giving the watch its distinctive character. In addition to its customisable reverse, it can change style in an instant thanks to a matching pair of interchangeable burgundy straps: a bi-material strap (leather/canvas) and a timelessly elegant leather strap designed by the famous Argentinean bootmaker Casa Fagliano. Launched in 2022, to celebrate 60 years of James Bond, this 42mm Seamaster Diver 300M in stainless steel, has a blue oxalic anodized aluminium dial, with laser engraved waves, inspired by the Seamaster Diver 300M worn by James Bond in 1995’s GoldenEye. A commemorative 60 replaces the diving scale’s traditional inverted triangle. The iconic movie opening sequence, featuring Bond in silhouette and spinning gun barrel, plays out on the caseback, beneath a sapphire crystal decorated with micro-structured metallisation. The “moiré” effect animation is linked to the spinning of the lollipop seconds hand. Adding texture to the metallic look is a brushed stainless steel bracelet, in the same elegant mesh style as Bond’s titanium watch in No Time To Die. Providing the power is OMEGA’s Co-axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8806. The watch is presented in a blue wooden box decorated in the original Diver 300M pattern, with three dots inspired by the classic Bond movie opening sequence, including a secret push button on the right.
