Facebook owned Instagram has made moves in the app, to make it more user friendly. The Head, Adam Mosseri confirmed these moves via tweets.

Now, check out the new updates awaiting you:

1. Removal of ‘Following Tab’

Instagram has removed the activity feed that displays the posts, which one’s followers are liking, commenting on and following. The tab is going away from the app with an update, for the sake of simplicity.

Basically, all the stalking of your boyfriends or girlfriends, or that crush who is too cute to handle, is not possible anymore.

2. New camera, New create mode

With regular add-ons, Instagram has rolled out an updated camera, available on iOS 13 and Android 10 smartphones. The feature is live now, allowing one to use filters and add GIFs, timers and polls in stories. Using the ‘create’ mode, one can also use the interactive stickers without taking a picture first, also use a GIF as the background for your next story.

3. Dark Mode on Android

For Android users, Instagram is always a step behind, but not this time. Finally, it has added the dark mode support in its latest update. The user needs to go to the ‘Setting’ option on their device, change the phone theme to dark and this will be automatically turned on for Instagram as well. This mode is a black interface with white accents for the buttons and logos, applies to the app’s pages, Direct Messages and IGTV as well.
