One sheep, two sheep, three sheep, four…zzz. If only it were that easy, right?

During such crazy and stressful situations, your head goes all fuzzy just before going to sleep. Well, if you got the right tricks, falling asleep in seconds won’t be so hard. Here are a few super easy hacks that will have you on your way to slumber town in no time. See:

1. Pick Blackout Curtains

A great go-to sleep hack, the neighbour’s spotlight or streetlight or car’s headlight can make it harder to sleep by messing your chance at sleep. Choose blackout curtains for your room, a great preventative measure as they’ll make sure your sleep is longer, better and less disturbed.

2. Drink Chamomile Tea

The perfect sleeping remedy, chamomile tea is used as a natural sleep aid. Drinking a cup of it will increase the body’s production of a chemical called glycine, which relaxes the nerves and acts as a mild sedative.

3. 4-7-8 Breathing Exercise

Follow the 4-7-8 breathing exercise that will help lull you to sleep. Breathe in through your nose for four seconds. Hold your breath for seven seconds and slowly breathe out through your mouth for eight seconds. The technique acts like a natural tranquilizer by slowing down your heart rate.

4. Wear Socks

Wearing socks to bed might sound like an uncomfortable thing but it will help you fall asleep instantly. Wearing a pair of socks will warm your feet that causes blood cells to widen and that increases blood flow which in turn, helps you fall asleep faster. If not this, place a hot water bottle at the end of your feet to keep them warm.
