French Open which is scheduled to commence from 21 September to 11 October is opening its ticket sale from 9 July which means the grand tennis tournament will be held in the presence of the audience.

But analysing the current day scenario, the organization has issued more guidelines for the tournament in collaboration with French Government and prioritizing the safety of the spectators.

According to the new protocol of French Open, tickets will be sold by day, court and seat category and purchasers will be told the exact position of their seat in mid-September.

Along with it the French Tennis Federation also stated: “If the situation continues to improve, more tickets may be put on sale at the beginning of September. However, if the situation requires more stringent hygiene standards that force us to reduce the number of spectators on site, the tournament organisers will refund any supplementary tickets sold.”

The number of spectators allowed inside the court will be 50-60% of the seating capacity and the show court will follow a stringent policy of leaving a vacant seat in between each group of fans, where one purchaser can book a maximum of four seats. On the outside court every alternate seat will be left vacant.

Moreover, wearing a mask in the vicinity of court is mandatory and the entire layout will be disinfected as per the guidelines of the health department.

The French Tennis Federation shared the entire guideline on their social media page along with an announcement of ticket sales for the fans.
