From laid-back afternoons to high-energy nights, the neighbourhood gets a bar that changes mood as you stay
24th February 2026, Mumbai: Aspect Hospitality strengthens its nightlife portfolio with the launch of Radio Bar Malad, marking its second outlet in Mumbai after the flagship Khar location that opened over a decade ago. With an established presence across Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Radio Bar continues to scale as a high-energy, music-driven themed bar format built around nostalgia, performance and community.
Strategically located in the heart of Malad’s corporate and residential belt, the new outlet has been conceptualised as a dynamic, all-day social destination designed to transition seamlessly from afternoon meetings and casual lunches to high-energy evenings — allowing the venue to evolve with its audience rather than operate within fixed time brackets.
The interiors retain Radio Bar’s recognisable identity but expand it spatially. A ceiling installation of cascading warm golden lights anchors the room, setting a strong visual tone on entry. Patterned flooring, while large glass facades allow daylight to shape the afternoon mood before controlled lighting deepens the space at night.
An alfresco section adds a softer outdoor setting suited for daytime conversations and early evening drinks, allowing the venue to operate across multiple atmospheres within a single address.
Programming remains central, with signature Chitrahaar nights celebrating nostalgic Bollywood sounds and Unplugged nights spotlighting live performers and emerging musicians.
The food menu has been developed by Corporate Chef Vincy Rebello at Aspect Hospitality, balancing comfort familiarity with playful global influences so it works equally well for lunch, sharing plates or late-night eating. Dishes include the Avocado Truffle Bruschetta served on a cheddar jalapeño baguette, Three Cheese Aloo Kulcha Bombs, Dan Dan Chicken wok-tossed with soy, Sichuan pepper and chilli oil, Picante Prawns finished with naga chilli pineapple glaze and tom yum pickle kewpie, and the Pizza Ma-Ka-Bo, approachable bar food designed around social dining rather than formal courses. While the beverage program, curated by Corporate Beverage Manager Bensen Verghese at Aspect Hospitality, leans into familiar Indian flavours interpreted through a contemporary bar lens, while also offering coffee and tea through the day. Standouts include Gold Digger, a blue pea–infused gin cocktail finished with edible gold dust; Masala-E-Ishq with white rum and house spice syrup; and Angoor Se Aesthetic, a whisky-based drink layered with fresh spices and a red wine float with playful yet recognisable drinks that mirror the easy personality of the space.
Nikhil Merani, Deputy Vice President – Operations, Aspect Hospitality, says:
“Radio Bar has always been a high-energy format that demands operational precision behind the scenes. With Malad, our focus has been on creating a space that can fluidly transition across dayparts while maintaining consistency in service, food quality and programming. The location gives us the advantage of strong weekday corporate demand along with robust residential catchment, allowing us to optimise both volume and experience. For us, scalability is about replicating the energy without diluting the brand — and Malad has been built exactly with that intent.”
Hitesh Keswani, Managing Director & CEO, Aspect Hospitality, says:
“Radio Bar is more than a themed bar format — it’s a community-driven brand and, at its heart, an emotion. Over the years, it has become a space where friendships form, homegrown artists find their stage, and nostalgia meets new energy. The Malad launch isn’t just about expansion; it’s about strengthening that emotional connect in a new neighbourhood. When you build the right vibe and put music at the centre, the community builds itself — and that remains the heart of Radio Bar.”
Aksha Kamboj, Executive Chairperson, Aspect Global Ventures, adds:
“From a strategic standpoint, Radio Bar represents a scalable themed format with strong recall and repeat value. Mumbai continues to be a priority growth city, and Malad offers a compelling mix of corporate and residential demand. As we strengthen our footprint across Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, our focus remains on building culturally relevant brands that are both operationally resilient and expansion-ready. Radio Bar’s longevity lies in its ability to evolve while retaining its core identity — and that is key to sustainable growth.”As the brand grows across cities, Radio Bar continues to remain what it has always aimed to be a familiar frequency people can keep tuning back into.
