Blue Flag Certification For Indian Beaches

India has received the prestigious ‘Blue Flag’ certification for eight beaches, a proud moment and global recognition for India’s conservation and sustainable development efforts.

Accorded by Foundation for Environment Education, Denmark, the ‘Blue Flag’ certification is based on environmental education and information, bathing water quality, environment management and conservation, safety and services at the beaches.

 

Look at the eight beaches that have been awarded by international organizations:

1. Shivrajpur beach

Located near Dwarka, Shivrajpur Beach is known for its clear water, white sand and mostly for its beautiful sunsets.

2. Ghoghla beach

Golden sand beach in the village of Ghoghla, this one is Diu’s largest beach famous for its splendid view that will make you go wow.

3. Kasarkod Beach

This white sand beach in Karnataka is popularly known as the eco beach, developed as an eco-friendly picnic spot for family and friends.

4. Kappad Beach

Locally known as Kappakadavu, this is a beach in the district of Kozhikode in Kerala, known for the water spots and fun activities around it.

5. Rushikonda Beach

Famous for its golden sands, this beach is situated near Vizag city in Andhra Pradesh, pristine views that’ll make your heart full.

6. Padubidri Beach

Developed as a model site, this Udupi situated beach is one of the most beautiful and cleanest beaches in India. Palm trees, salty blue water and picturesque view!

7.Golden Beach

Also known as the Puri Beach, this incredibly beautiful golden sand beach is located near Lord Jagannath temple and famous for the works of sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik.

8.Radhanagar Beach

Recognized as the best beach in Asia, this beach is located in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and has a view with a sight to behold, what better way to see it than through a glass boat ride.
