Coming into bat the ex-Aussie skipper, during the second innings was involved in an interesting setup which shocked everyone and proved his commitment towards the game. He was seen lying on the ground after pulling off a ‘Textbook’ shot. He either lost balance while attempting a hook shot or an uppercut or after completing the shot. Meanwhile, BCCI has announced a two-year radio rights arrangement with All India Radio (AIR) for live commentary of the Indian team’s international games at home and the domestic tournaments. This initiative will let millions to get quick cricket updates across India via live radio commentary.
The agreement is from 10 September 2019 to 31 August 2021 and will start from India’s upcoming T20 series against South Africa on 15 September. In addition to this, AIR cover men and women domestic tournaments and matches like the Ranji Trophy, Irani Cup, Deodhar Trophy, Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and women’s Challenger series.

With the upcoming Sri Lanka’s tour to Pakistan, many Sri Lanka players have pulled out of the series, citing security fears. Sri Lanka was scheduled to visit Pakistan for a bilateral series, for three ODI and three T20 matches from 27 September to 9 October.
In 2009 terrorists attacked a Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore, Pakistan, leaving several cricketers injured. Now, players are scared of something like this to be repeated. So, players like Lasith Malinga, Dimuth Karunaratne and Angelo Mathews have opted out of the tour.

Legendary Indian cricketer, Amarnath turns 108 today. He is known for his contribution to cricket beyond runs and the records he set. He became the first Indian to score a Test debut century against England in Bombay. Under his captaincy, India won its first Test series against Pakistan in Delhi. Overall, Amarnath played 24 Tests and scored 878 runs at an average of 24.3 and also took 45 wickets.
