You might be eating well, exercising, keeping a proper work-life balance, getting proper sleep and doing everything to keep yourself mentally and physically healthy. But there are some small things in life that not only enhances your well-being but also gives you happiness.

Self-care involves finding time for small activities that make you happy. Remember it is not selfish to treat yourself with kindness.

Keep a compliments diary:

Keep a Compliments Diary

Jot down the good things people say about you, the person who gave the compliment and the occasion. Go through this diary when you are feeling low and this could instantly transform your mood and help you feel better.

Practice mindfulness:

Practice Mindfulness

Awaken yourself from the autopilot mode of your brain as you do your daily tasks. Start by being aware of what you are doing. Notice the sensations of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell as you engage in your task. And when the mind wanders off, gently bring it back to the present. This practice increase focus, attention and concentration.

Do something creative:

Do Something Creative

Creative bursts of energy evoke positive emotions. Try to pick up an old hobby you once had or start something totally new. It could be colouring (No wonder why the adult colouring books are the rage), writing, photography, travelling or even music or dance.
