Not as a F1 racing driver but taking up the role of a senior advisor, Jenson Button joins the Williams team.
In his first season in F1, the 40 year-old raced for Williams in 2000 and made his debut with this team. Williams’ role in Button’s career is historic and they’re close to his heart. He will help the team, including drivers and staff back to the front.
A positive step for the Williams F1 racing team, it will help them move forward as a team, both on and off track. Known to be a promising F1 driver and a one-time world champion, Jenson Button will continue to work as a sports analyst for broadcasting work. This experience works as an added layer and will help in Williams’ transformation both technically and as a business.
As a senior adviser at Williams, Button will provide advice and guidance to the team at Grove, along with helping support and develop both race and academy drivers. He would also attend a number of Grand Prix with the team.
