Once again, Twitter faced trouble with their new feature, Fleets, stories with photos or videos or text that disappear after 24 hours of being posted. However, due to a bug, Fleets have remained accessible even after 24 hours. Addressing this, the micro blogging platform posted about this and have resolved all the safety concerns.

In a thread of tweets, Twitter stated that their systems have been updated and hope that this doesn’t happen again. Users were concerned about Fleets seen after 24 hours as well, this was due to scaling problems and queue backlog.

Next up, netizens were concerned with the fact that Fleets were visible to people who weren’t logged in Twitter as well. Making API calls, this behavior is called scrapping but now the company will require an authenticated session to add more friction.
