Trailblazers Raise Their Maiden Trophy

The Jio Women’s T20 Challenge of 2020 concluded with Trailblazers raising their maiden championship trophy after defeating Supernovas by 16 runs.

The final match was played in Sharjah where after winning the toss, the Harmanpreet Kaur led Supernovas opted to bowl first. Though the team performed brilliantly, they couldn’t shake their rivals. Radha Yadav of Supernovas also became the first player in the history of the Jio T20 Women’s Challenge to take five wickets in a match.

The Smriti Mandhana led Trailblazers entered the second inning with all the enthusiasm  and restricted the gameplay of the opposition at a score of 102 runs with seven wickets down.

The outstanding performance of the pink clad team was appreciated by everyone and captain Smriti Mandhana also became ‘Player of the Match’ for her fine score of 68 off 48 balls.
