One of the most talked about movies in B-town is ‘Thalaivi’ starring Kangana Ranaut in the titular role. After a long wait, the teaser of the movie has been dropped by the makers.
Based on the life of political stalwart, J Jayalalithaa, Kangana stepped into the shoes of the powerful personality who governed over the state of Tamil Nadu for 14 years as the Chief Minister.
‘Thalaivi’ teaser shows the journey of Jayalalithaa, from ‘Superstar Heroine’ to a ‘Revolutionary Hero’. It gives a glimpse of the famous dance portion from 1965 film, ‘Vennira Aadai’ and then moves to her waving the victory sign to all her supporters as she addresses a rally.
In classic Jayalalithaa style, Kangana wears a dark green saree with a matching overcoat and maroon bindi. The actress has nailed the complete look of the late actor turned politician.
The biopic drama is directed by Vijay and is shot simultaneously in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. ‘Thalaivi’ is slated to release on 26 June 2020.
