In the third T20 match, New Zealand needed only two runs in the last two balls. All thanks to Mohammed Shammi and Rohit Sharma, India stole the game from the mouth of the opponents!

Shami showed his exceptional potential with a spellbound that no one will ever forget. The fast bowler proved why he is one of the best bowlers in the world especially after conceding only one run in the last four balls. He got the ‘People’s Choice Award’ for playing an important role in India’s race through the victory.

We aren’t the only ones to think that way, look at this tweet by his teammate who was also part of the hall of fame.

But it was Rohit Sharma who stole the limelight!

He smashed two sixes in Tim Southee’s last two deliveries during the Super Over. These two big hits helped India seal the match against New Zealand in Seddon Park, Hamilton. With this victory, the Indian team has also registered their first ever T20 series win over the Black Caps on their home soil. Definitely, a historic achievement for Virat Kohli and co!

Not only did Rohit help India become victorious, he has completed 10,000 runs in all formats of the game. As an opener, he is the fourth Indian to achieve this milestone in international cricket. Now, Sharmaji has joined the elite list beside Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and Virender Sehwag.

India and New Zealand will next go against each other on January 31 at the Westpac Stadium in Wellington for the fourth T20 match.
