In the ten-second video clip, Sonakshi, though her face was not clearly visible but was seen struggling with her sudden arrest, leaving her fans in shock.

Soon the social media was stormed with #AsliSonaArrested, making the netizens wonder whether the video was genuine or just a publicity stunt. Many netizens assumed that Sona is in actual trouble and it might be an action taken by the police as per the allegation levied by the event organizer of the New Delhi.
While social media got flooded with the speculations of people, Sonakshi chose to stay silent. On Wednesday, the actress broke her silence confirming that the video was a part of the promotion of her upcoming advertisement.
Sonakshi cleared the air with an Instagram post that revealed that the video was a gimmick to seek public attention for the new collection of camera-ready HD makeup line by Myglamm. In the video, she is seen in an interrogation room explaining why she has been arrested.
