In the month of June Indian Government invoked its power under section 69A of the Information Technology Act banning 59 Chinese applications and now has stepped up taking the same stringent action against 118 more apps including PUBG Mobile, PUBG Mobile Lite, WeChat Work and more.

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology took the action after receiving many complaints from various sources about misuse of some mobile apps available on Android and iOS platforms for stealing and transmitting users’ data in an unauthorized manner to servers which have locations outside India. The compilation of these data is a threat to national security and defence of India, which affects the sovereignty and integrity of India.

Apart from this, the Union Cabinet headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved ‘Mission Karmayogi’ for Civil Servants to enhance their capacity in meeting the challenges of society.

According to the new scheme, there will be reform in the training curriculum of the civil servants which will focus on making them more creative, constructive, imaginative, innovative, transparent and technology-enabled.

The ‘Mission Karmayogi’ seeks to transform Human Resource Management from ‘rules-based’ to ‘roles-based’ and focuses on E-learning.
