Google India Focuses On Digital Education

Google India live event commenced today at 2PM IST, where the company talked about the milestones it has achieved in the past few years meanwhile bringing a digital revolution in the nation.

Ahead of the virtual summit, Google’s parent company Alphabet’s CEO Sundar Pichai had a brief discussion with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, about the new work culture that is emerging in India during COVID-19 times while talking about the importance of cyber security.

Google India in its event also announced a $10billion digitization fund to help accelerate India’s digital economy.

While talking about digital India and how small businesses are approaching digital payments, Google’s head officials also talked about helping the SMBs in collaboration with Prasar Bharati, featuring the success stories of small businesses.

Head of Google Marketing in India, Sapna Chadha, talked about the new learning culture in India. As pandemic took a toll on the world, ‘Teach from Home’ became normal and Google through its various platforms helped the kids in staying updated with their course.

Witnessing the current education crisis, Google India is partnering with CBSE, Skill Education and Training, to enable more than 1 million teachers from 22,000 schools across India to deliver blended learning that combines the classroom approach with online learning.
