The world has been dealing with heartbreaking updates of coronavirus from every corner and the rain of sad news doesn’t stop.

Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan took his last breath in Mumbai and passed away due to colon infection, three days after his mother’s death. After battling cancer for two years, he lost the fight against a neuroendocrine tumour. The actor is survived by his wife Sutapa and two sons, Babil and Ayan.

At a young age of 53, Irrfan Khan has left a remarkable mark in the world of cinema. Acclaimed for his roles in Indian cinema, the actor was also involved in several international blockbusters such as ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, ‘Jurassic World’, ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ and ‘Life of Pi’.

Making his debut in the Academy Award nominated movie ‘Salaam Bombay’ in 1998, Irrfan Khan proved that he was an incredible talent every time he came on the silver screen. He will always be remembered for every character he has played in Hindi movies, like  ‘Paan Singh Tomar’, ‘The Lunchbox’, ‘Haider’, ‘Piku’, ‘Talvar’ and ‘Hindi Medium’, to name a few.

Although Irrfan Khan was under treatment in London, he showcased the true spirit of an artist and shot for ‘Angrezi Medium’, the last movie he was featured in. A performance that touched so many hearts!

As soon as the news of Irfaan’s death broke, Bollywood shook and is now mourning the death of Irrfan Khan. Social media is flooded by tweets and messages about what a great human being and fantastic actor he was. Also, sending condolences to his family during such tough times.
