Fitbit, the giant fitness tracker wearable company, has recently been acquired by Google. Announcing the merger of both companies to bring the world a new technology in health and fitness wear, official social media handle of the giant search engine company updated a post which reads, “We’ve signed an agreement to acquire @Fitbit. With this collaboration, both companies are aiming to revolutionize the fitness regime of people and focus more on their overall wellness. Since a long time, Google was trying to crack through the Wearable OS and after purchasing the shares of a Wearable OS pioneer company for $2.1 billion, the California based company has taken a huge step in the lifestyle development category.
Though with Google, privacy issues are always questioned, Fitbit ensured its consumers to maintain utmost privacy and security bringing transparency in their each and every move of data collection.
