Today, let’s celebrate the World Health Day by cheering health professionals globally. A day dedicated to worldwide doctors, nurses, paramedics and all the other health workers.

Especially during the current global health crisis situation, the world wouldn’t survive without the hard work and timeless job of the medical teams. From providing high quality treatment and care to leading community dialogue to address fears and questions, the health workers are the real heroes. Salute!

On this International Day, the World Health Organization (WHO) has highlighted and made a series of recommendations to strengthen the nursing and midwifery workforce. They will focus on universal health coverage, maternal and child health, infectious and non-communicable diseases, mental health, emergency response, patient safety and much more.

 

 

Celebrating health professionals, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also showed his support and spoke about the tireless job of them during the coronavirus outbreak. He thanked them and had a word for the citizens too, via a tweet. See:
