The tournament is scheduled to take place from December 8 to 13 at LB Stadium in Hyderabad and will feature the league’s distinctive 25-point format, designed to bring a fast-paced and competitive edge to the sport.

The Season 8 player auction in Mumbai witnessed the presence of several prominent personalities from sports and entertainment, including Actress Sonali Bendre Rakul Preet Singh, tennis legend Sania Mirza, Amruta Fadnavis, Leander Paes and Rohan Bopanna, among others. The auction saw franchises assemble their squads with a mix of established international players and emerging Indian talent.

Mumbai Royals strengthened their squad by signing Indian tennis player Niki Poonacha for ₹7.20 lakh.
