After an early exit of ace shuttlers PV Sindhu, Sai Praneeth and Saina Nehwal, all hopes of India is on Parupalli Kashyap. Saina who is not in a good form since her injury took an early exit at the Korea Open being held at Incheon Airport Skydome, Incheon, South Korea.
Along with Saina, World Champion PV Sindhu also could not survive the whole tournament and lost her chance at the championship to Beiwen Zhang of United States. This is the second early exit of the golden girl, post her World Championship title.

It was a sad day for India as World Champion bronze medalist Sai Praneeth also took early retirement from the game after his loss to Anders Antonsen of Denmark. Earlier, Sai has won a medal for India in men’s singles category after 36 years.
Apart from all the losses that India suffered, head coach of PV Sindhu under whose guidance she brought World Championship trophy, Kim Ji Hyun, has exited from her position due to some personal reasons.
