And the oldest cricket series is making a comeback, the Auty Cup!
Cricket Canada and USA Cricket have announced that Auty Cup will return in July this year after the first match of this trophy was played in 1884 at St George’s Cricket Club in Manhattan, won by team of Canada by 23 runs.
In 2021, Auty Cup will be played from 26 July to 30 July, right after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup America’s Qualifiers, which will be hosted in Canada from 17 July to 23 July. The 50 over tournament will be played in Canada, a chance for the nations to fine tune their game ahead of the key series in August.
ICC’s official page on Twitter announced this news for fans, excited for the Auty Cup as the rivals will lock horns in the summer.
