The second edition of Khelo India Winter Games was held at Gulmarg in North Kashmir from 26 February. The game concluded on 2 March with host Jammu and Kashmir finishing the event as the winner bagging 34 medals, including 11 golds, 18 silvers and five bronze.
The event was organized by the Sports Ministry of India in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Sports Council and the Winter Games Association of Jammu and Kashmir. Sports events like snow skiing, snowboarding, snow shoeing, ski mountaineering, ice stock, snow rugby and snow baseball were conducted with the 27 states of the nation along with all the Union Territories participating in it and showcasing their best.
Apart from Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh also put their best foot forward and clinched the second and third position in the event, respectively.
