Japanese ace badminton player Kento Momota, after a year-long gap, is set to return to the court.

The World Number One, last year met with an accident on his way to Kuala Lumpur Airport after winning the Malaysian title and the speculations of his career going for a toss was all over the news.

But now the 26-year-old athlete has given a sigh of relief to his followers and revealed that he will be competing at the All-Japan national championships in Tokyo ahead of his plan to play in the YONEX Thailand Open and the TOYOTA Thailand Open in Bangkok.

Making the announcement, the Japanese athlete also stated: “First I have the All-Japan championships and I want to concentrate on that, but I’m really looking forward to playing against the best international players” as he showed his excitement for stepping in the arena again.
