Expressing gratitude on the occasion of Police Commemoration, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the police personnel always give their best without hesitation, be it in preserving law and order or disaster management.
In his message, Modi paid respect and tribute to all the police personnel who were martyred in the line of duty. He also added that their sacrifice and service will always be remembered by the fellow countrymen.
Every year, Police Commemoration Day is observed on this day in memory of the CRPF personnel who made the supreme sacrifice at Hot Springs in Ladakh while fighting Chinese troops in 1959. This year, Home Minister Amit Shah addressed the Police Commemoration Day parade at the National Police Memorial in Delhi.
