Remembering Late Father’s Poetry

Amitabh Bachchan is known for sharing and writing poetry pieces, just a part of his genes. His father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan was a renowned poet and during such tough times in the world, Big B remembered his father’s poetry.

The megastar took to Instagram to share an 83 year-old poetry that was penned down by his late father. Amused, the actor tells how the poetry lines fall into place with the global crisis and the relevance it has in today’s prevailing circumstances.

Along with the beautiful poem, Amitabh Bachchan wrote, “Babu ji को याद किया बैठे बैठे, उनकी ‘रचनावली’ खोली , और अचानक इस कविता का पन्ना खुल गया – केवल संजोग ही कहिए इसे !! ये कविता ‘निशा निमंत्रण ‘ से है Written in 1937-38…incredible visionary…so apt today in the prevailing circumstances…after 83 years”.
