Once again, Indian cricket team defeated South Africa in the second Test match, played at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Showcasing an all-round brilliant performance, they beat South Africa by an innings and 137 runs. Now, India is ahead 2-0 in the Test series.
Along with this, India has set a new world record, winning 11 straight Test series at home, making this the most consecutive Test series wins at home. With this, they are on top of the ICC Test ranking teams with 200 points.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli smashed his highest ever score of 256 in 336 balls in the same match.
The number of records Kohli broke in this match are too high. He made the highest ever score by any Indian captain, became the first Indian Captain to score 250 in an inning, fastest batsman to score 21,000 international runs and first Indian with double tons vs. six different countries. The Indian captain took the shortest time span, 1176 days, to score seven double tons and most Test double tons – seven, by an Indian cricketer.

The third Test will start from 19 October in Ranchi, Jharkhand.
