Her final bout was against Russia’s Ekaterina Paltceva. This year’s championship also witnessed the star player, MC Mary Kom, create history by bagging her eighth medal at the World Championship in Flyweight category.

Apart from Mary Kom and Manju Rani, Jamuna Boro brought the bronze medal in the Bantamweight category in her debut at World Championship while Lovlina Borgohian clinched bronze in Welterweight category.
