Prints by Radhika unveils Jardin des Rêves, French for Garden of Dreams, its latest collection that reimagines botanical prints as immersive works of wearable art. Fronted by actor Shanaya Kapoor, the collection signals a defining evolution for the label, moving beyond signature florals to create garments that feel like living landscapes.

Instead of placing floral motifs on a garment, each piece is painted as one continuous scene. Hand-painted meadows, blooming botanicals, butterflies, drifting skies, and delicate wildflowers unfold organically across every silhouette, allowing each garment to tell a complete visual story rather than simply showcasing individual motifs. The starting point was European gardens and botanical watercolours.

Colour does a lot of the work here. The organza is dip-dyed so that it shifts through the piece, butter yellow into chartreuse, blush into rose, marigold into rust. Painted grass runs along several hemlines, and sequin butterflies and dragonflies adorn skirts and bodices.

The collection includes an off-shoulder tea-length gown in ivory organza with a painted meadow hem, a marigold ruffle drape sari worn over an embellished corset, ombré saris running from rose to deep fuchsia with sheer embroidered blouses, cape-and-lehenga sets in olive-to-mauve and rose finished with beaded fringe, and an embroidered organza blazer with flared trousers for evening.

The handwork follows the painting rather than sitting on top of it. There are three-dimensional appliqué petals in layered organza, bugle-bead and cutdana stems that trace each plant upward through the garment, French knots, beaded scalloped hems, and sequin fringing along cape and dupatta edges. Corsets are boned and embroidered to match the panel they sit on.

“With this collection we’ve moved beyond creating floral prints to creating wearable landscapes,” says Radhika, Founder and Creative Director of Prints by Radhika. “Every garment has been imagined as a living canvas. Rather than placing motifs onto a garment, we’ve created an entire dreamlike world that the wearer becomes part of.”
