As compliment pours in for his short but important part in Made In Heaven, Vikrant Massey has already moved on to his next project, Chhapaak. Vikrant has worked in several films such as Lootera, Dil Dhadakne Do, Lipstick Under My Burkha, Half Girlfriend and is currently seen in the web series Broken But Beautiful.
Vikrant’s upcoming film Chhapaak is on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal played by Padmaavat actor Deepika Padukone, who will be donning a new avatar that will surely give a backseat to her almost-all beautiful roles.
Sharing a photograph from the script reading session of the film on his Instagram, Vikrant wrote, ‘As actors, we live for this moment. Feeling blessed with the team during our #Chhapaak reading session.’

Among others, Gulzar Sir was also present at the reading session of Chhapaak. Bollywood celebrities showered their good wishes for the movie.
Laxmi Agarwal is now a TV show host and a campaigner with Stop Acid Attacks. She is also the developer of Sheroes, which is a special cafe managed by other acid attack survivors. Giving an essence about the story, Deepika had posted a tweet on December 24, writing, ‘A story of trauma and triumph. And the unquotable human spirit. Elated to collaborate with Fox Star Studios on #Chhapaak.’
Chhapaak will be co-produced by Deepika Padukone, who established the Live Love Laugh Foundation, an NGO that helps those struggling with mental illness. Talking about Deepika’s on-screen look, she will be seen in different looks in the film because of the several facial renovation surgeries of the personality. Laxmi was a school student when she was attacked by a man who had offered her for marriage. According to the report, the film is expected to go on the floors in March next year.
