Real Madrid has been out of action since a month due to the coronavirus outbreak. The financial burden on the club has forced them to take few tough decisions. The club has decided to reduce wages of players and the staff by 10-20%, depending on the circumstances that may affect the closure of the present sports season 2019-20.

Meanwhile, the former Real Madrid President Lorenzo Sanz lost his battle against COVID-19 and took his last breath on 22 March in Madrid, Spain. He will receive the Board of Directors of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) highest honour, gold and diamond insignia award for his contribution to football. His family will receive the recognition of the RFEF, an artistic creation in memory of the coronavirus victims.
