For many of us Eid is associated with that sweet fragrance of biryani coming from the kitchens of our household. But not for Twinkle Khanna. Surprise, right? Even though biryani was not a point of connection for her, ‘Kichda’ is.
Twinkle Khanna posted a heartfelt note to her grandmother this Eid. Her note, posted on Instagram said, “We rarely made biryani on Eid. Our treat was always Nani’s delicious Kichda and decorated envelopes with our Eidi. This year, our hearts and our table have too many empty spaces without her to fill it all up. #eidmubarak”.

Twinkle’s grandmother passed away last year and really left the place vacant. Her note got us all teary eyed and made us think of our favourite dishes that only our grandmothers can make.
We wish to her family and to everyone else an Eid that will bring the families closer. Eid Mubarak to everyone.
