Toss Up The Cap And Fly High!

It was a proud moment in the Bachchan family when Navya Naveli, daughter of Shweta Bachchan graduated from Fordham University, New York.

But due to COVID-19 pandemic, Navya couldn’t fly back to her college to attend the graduation ceremony so her family decided to bring the celebration home with a DIY graduation cap and robe stitched from scraps of black tenting.

As a proud mom, Shweta took to her social media page to share several photos of Navya posing in her home-made graduation attire. She also dropped a special message for her daughter by writing, “Congratulations baby I love you and am proud of you! Go forth and conquer x ( I’m not crying you’re crying)”.

Granddad, Amitabh Bachchan also shared a slo-mo video of Navya on his social media page congratulating her on this special occasion along with lots of love.

Well, when everyone was celebrating Navya’s graduation, Mamu Abhishek Bachchan also came forward to congratulate Navya and shared a story from the freshmen year of her niece by writing, “Congratulations my Navya on your graduation!

Although due to the lockdown you were not able to celebrate it at your university with your classmates and the home garden had to suffice….

Seems like yesterday that we were moving you into your dorm room as a freshman… Wait, strike that. Not “we”, “I”!! (You always managed to make Mamu do the heavy lifting 😉). God bless you! Can’t wait to see what you have in store for the world. ❤️”.
