The On Screen Love Of Bajirao And Mastani Turns Five

The beautiful historical love story of Bajirao and Mastani was brought on screen in a grand manner by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali in the year 2015 and the creation starring Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh has clocked five years today.

Celebrating the special day of the blockbuster, award winning movie, ‘Bajirao Mastani’, Deepika has posted a mesmerizing picture on her social media account. In the photo, she can be seen standing in the Mastani avatar next to the director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Alongwith the image, she also scribbled a few beautiful words, praising the character Mastani, that reads: “Whether in love or war, Mastani was fuelled by her passion, unafraid to write her own destiny, no matter how perilous the path. She never bowed down and always stood her ground with a fierce dignity and a love so strong that its burning embers seared through every societal constraint, to join both her and her lover’s names, for all of eternity…” and tagged Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra in it.
