‘Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy’ is the next big thing in Tollywood. The film is a biopic on the Kurnool-based freedom fighter Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy who used guerilla techniques to revolt against the British in the 1850’s.

The ensemble cast includes Chiranjeevi, who will play the titular role, Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy. Amitabh Bachchan will be seen as Chiranjeevi’s mentor, Kichcha Sudeep as Avuku Raju, Vijay Sethupathi as Raaja Paandi, Tamannaah as Lakshmi and Nayanthara as Queen Siddhamma.
Directed by Surender Reddy and produced by Ram Charan, the period film is touted to be produced on a lavish budget of two hundred crore. The post-production work is underway in over 26 studios across the world.
As the film is gearing up for a grand release on 2 October, following a new trend, the film will be released in Hindi too. The film’s distribution rights have been secured by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment and Anil Thadani’s AA Films. In the run-up to it, a new video was unveiled, where all the principle characters are showcased.
