#Shamshera : Ranbir Kapoor To Play Double Role In 2020

Ranbir Kapoor is busy shooting for his upcoming film ‘Shamshera’ these days. This is the first time when he will be seen playing a double role in a movie and fans can’t wait to see him in a different avatar for the first time. Apart from playing a lead character in the film, Ranbir might also be seen playing a protagonist’s father and has been busy shooting both characters simultaneously.

It’s a treat for Ranbir’s fans as he has been shooting for a couple of films one after the other. Ranbir has been in the limelight first when his relationship with Alia Bhatt was announced official and second when the shooting for his upcoming film, ‘Brahmastra’ with his love began. And now ‘Shamshera’ is in the headlines.

Directed by Karan Malhotra, the film will also star Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor in the lead apart from Ranbir Kapoor. A source revealed, “The film revolves around a dacoit tribe that is fighting for its rights and independence from the British Raj. Apart from playing the protagonist, Ranbir might also be seen as the central character’s father. He has been shooting for both roles simultaneously. This is the first time in his 12-year-long career so far that Ranbir will play a double role.”

The film is slated to hit the theatres in July 2020.
