Kerala, renowned for scenic and climatic attractions with expansive backwaters, sun-kissed beaches, misty hill stations, forests rich in flora and fauna, pleasant weather, rich and colourful culture making it a favourite tourist destination for travel-lovers all over the world. Now Kerala is emerging as a destination for another segment – destination wedding.
To leverage this potential as well as address the increasing demand from within the state for wedding planning requirements, an exhibition of products, services, destinations and venues titled Shaadhi Wedding Expo will be held in Kochi on July 14 and 15 at Holiday Inn. The event is hosted by Shaadhi Wedding Management in collaboration with Holiday Inn Cochin and Event Management Association of Kerala.
The event will address different facets of wedding planning. The wedding expo will help prospective wedding couples and their families understand the need for a wedding planner. The expo will deliver insights on the latest trends on the various elements of a wedding like thematic décor, wedding photography, costume and attire, jewellery, accessories, wedding makeover, destination selection etc.
There will also be a cookery contest where families of the participants can introduce new recipes which can be included for weddings in the future. They can have live trials with experienced chefs, to gain a fresh perspective on selecting menu spreads for weddings and not limiting themselves to the plain old meal courses.
Exclusive wedding workshops will be organized with the help of experts who have extensive experience in wedding planning, venue selections, photography, costumes, makeover and the likes. A fashion show called First Wedding Looks (FWL) will also be held part of the Expo, to showcase the latest wedding fashion trends. The show also aims to help couples explore the new perspectives in Wedding Fashion and Styling.
