This match has concluded Manchester United’s season, eliminating them from UEL for three seasons in a row. Now, the club needs to wait until 2021 for their next chance of silverware. Along with this, it also ends the club’s unbeaten 15 game record in this tournament’s knockout phase.
United’s Ole Gunnar Solskajaer started bright, giving hopes to the team by scoring a goal in the first half of the semi-final match. But, Sevilla FC’s right winger Suso equalized the scores before half-time and then, Luuk de Jong scored the winning goal for the Spanish side, taking the club to the finals.
