Valentine’s Day is never going to be the day that symbolizes love for the family of those thirty martyrs who has lost their lives in the attacks of Pulwama on Thursday. No extent of recompense or commiseration will ever fill the void left by the departed. There are people with their blood sweltering at this news and army men who have avowed reprisal already in their minds.

In one of the noxious terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir’s three decades of militancy, a Jaish-e-Mohammed suicide bomber stricken an explosives-laden vehicle into a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bus in Pulwama district, killing at least 37 personnel and leaving many disparagingly wounded.

Meanwhile, Bollywood celebrities such as Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra and others also expressed shock over the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama that killed over 40 CRPF personnel.

Actors Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan also took to Twitter to share condolences, ‘Heartfelt condolences to the families of our valiant jawans. May the souls of our countrymen who laid their lives down for us rest in peace.’

Actress Alia Bhatt took to Twitter to share her views: ‘The Pulwama attack is despicable. My heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyrs. I pray for the recovery of the injured.’

Akshay Kumar said the incident should not be forgotten.

‘Numb beyond belief at the dastardly terror attack on CRPF soldiers in Pulwama. May God give peace to their souls and strength to their grieving families? Wishing the injured a speedy recovery. We can’t let this be forgotten,’ he said in a tweet.

‘My heart goes out for the jawans of our beloved country and their families who lost their lives as martyrs to save our families… #YouStandForIndia,’ wrote Salman Khan.

Ranveer Singh said he was disgusted by the ‘cowardly terror attack on CRPF soldiers in Pulwama.’

‘My sincere condolences to the families of our brave jawans. Saddened. Angry,’ he said in a tweet.’

Actress Priyanka Chopra said, ‘Absolutely shocked by the attack in #Pulwama…Hate is NEVER the answer!!! Strength to the families of the martyred jawans and the CRPF soldiers injured in the attack.’

Here’s how some of the other celebrities reacted:

Not just Bollywood, several celebrities from the South Indian film industries have also shared messages on social media to pass on their condolences to the families of the martyrs. From Mahesh Babu and Suriya Sivakumar to Kajal Aggarwal and R Madhavan – here’s what these artises have to say about the tragedy.

  • Extremely saddened to hear of the terror attack in Pulwama. My deepest condolence, strength and courage to the families of #CRPFJawans #RIPBraveHearts — Mahesh Babu (@urstrulyMahesh)
  • Deeply Saddened and heartbroken to know about the cowardly attack on #CRPFJawans convoy in #Pulwama. My heartfelt condolences to their families who have lost a son, brother, husband or a father for us. — Suriya Sivakumar (@Suriya_offl)

  • Heartfelt Condolences to all the families of 42 CRPF Men who lost their lives at Pulwama. Every soldier’s sacrifice will be remembered and honoured deep in our hearts. A very very sad day. #PulwamaAttack — Allu Arjun (@alluarjun)

In conclusion, instant violence and reprisal is needed to rebuke the sinners and remind the terrorists that we are no longer going to oversee the lost lives of our martyrs but in the long run humankind will have to rise to a point where non-violence will be a realistic sensible choice between nations and groups with difference in creeds.
