On the completion of 75 years of the victory of Russia in the Second World War, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a telephonic conversation with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
PM Modi along with warmly congratulating Putin on this special day also sent his greeting on the Constitutional reform vote of Russia, which secured Vladimir Putin’s current office holding and allows him to rule till the year 2036.
In the telephonic conversation, Indian Prime Minister also emphasised on the friendly ties shared between both the countries and how to fight the negative effects of COVID-19 pandemic effectively by joining forces together.
Both the leaders also agreed to maintain the momentum of bilateral contacts and consultations while discussing President Putin’s visit to India for the annual bilateral Summit to be held later this year.
President Putin thanked the Prime Minister for his gesture and reiterated that both the countries should strengthen the Special and Privileged Strategic Partnership in all spheres.

Meanwhile PM Modi has reached Ladakh today, weeks after the violent face-off between India and China in Galwan Valley.
