And finally, the most prestigious award ceremony, the 92 Academy Awards, came to an end after all the glitz and glamour spread by the celebrities on the red carpet and on the stage.

While many of the nominations of this year’s Oscars have been making it to the headlines constantly, the South Korean drama ‘Parasite’ swiftly swept away the ‘Best Picture’ award of this year and also became the first foreign-language film to ever win it.

 

 

‘Parasite’ not only bagged the most prestigious award but the director, Bong Joon Ho was also honoured with the ‘Best Director’ awards. Upon winning, Bong Joon won everyone’s heart with his speech where he gave credits to Martin Scorsese for his cinema journey.

 

 

Well, that was not the only charm of the night. One of the best acts of this year was delivered by the actor Joaquin Phoenix in the movie ‘Joker’, who celebrated his Oscar win by talking about Justice and also shared a small story from his teen days.

 

 

The American actress and producer, Renee Zellweger bagged in the ‘Best Leading Actress’ award and thanked all her peers who have made it to the nominations and the entire cast and crew of ‘Judy’ movie who made such a great film.

 

 

To everyone’s surprise, ‘Joker’ movie’s original score composer, Hildur Gudnadottir became the first female score winner in the past 23 years and the fourth woman in the entire history of Academy Awards. Upon receiving such an honour, the Icelandic music composer dedicated her award to the entire women race while encouraging them to voice their thoughts.
