It was no easy feat for Parineeti Chopra to step into the shoes of badminton star Saina Nehwal as the diva stars in and as ‘Saina’. The biopic film traces the journey of the ace Indian player whose never-give-up spirit has inspired millions of us.
To not just act as Saina Nehwal but becoming her in the movie ‘Saina’, it was an intense journey for Parineeti Chopra. The actress shared the BTS of how she got into the character and the training behind embracing the role of the badminton champion.
From waking up really early in the morning to preparing to get into the mind and physicality of being an athlete to skill development to becoming an Olympian while training for agility, performance and speed, Parineeti Chopra shared the video of becoming Saina Nehwal on her Instagram.
The actress also stated that while prepping for ‘Saina’, she used to cry on court and give up mid training but the thought of millions watching the movie on screen gave Parineeti the push to give it her all. Among her fair share of breakdowns on court and extreme fatigue, ‘Saina’ pays homage to the badminton legend.
