The Assamese sprinter is the first Indian sprinter to bag a gold medal at an international track event by winning the 400 m final at the World U-20 Championships, 2018, held at Tampere, Finland.
Hima has won three gold medals in past two weeks. She has clinched her previous gold at Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland, earlier this July. She bagged her second gold for 200m event at Kutno Athletics meet in Poland by finishing the race in 23.97 seconds, and her third gold on Sunday. While her personal best is 23.10 seconds, which she clocked last year.
